Howdy folks,
I just joined up. Got dye on the brain, because I purchased some bleach and a bottle of Special Effects Ruby Red yesterday and I'm gearing up to once again go all red.
I started dying my hair when I was 15 (that was some 16 years ago...)My first color was called "Eggplant"; It was a bright magenta, and I didn't need to bleach my hair to use it. I can't remember what company manufactured it, but the product was called "Prisms". Very similar to Manic Panic or, more accurately, Special Effects. Anyway, my mom was a hairdresser so she had access to all that beauty-salon-owners-only type stuff. I actually used Prisms for a while... After the Eggplant washed out, I tried royal blue and purple. All throughout high school, I dyed my hair every color imaginable, save for orange and highlighter yellow (both colors look crappy with my ginger features, I think.)
Here's a pictorial history of the last few years; though there's been a few times where I haven't had any pictures taken during different hair phases, therefore, this is a spotted history. :)

I had only dyed my hair green once before, with Manic Panic, and I hated it. My hair looked like vomit. This photo is from ten years later, the first time I dyed my hair green again, and I loved it.

currently, this is my new 'do, however it has faded so I've been sporting hats and headbands a lot lately. Thus my reasoning for buying all that prep stuff, and, as usual, whenever I go black, I can't wait to go back. Red is usually what I fall back on, because it always looks good with my eyes and skin tone.
I suppose I'll be doing that tonight, so I'll post pics after.
